1909Zieh-, Press- und Stanzwerk, Linnemann, Schulte & Comp., GmbH is founded. The main focus of production is on sheet metal cylinders/tubes for the household enamel industry concentrated around Ahlen.
1931Following the death of Heinrich Linnemann, his son in law Edgar Schnetzer, businessman and engineer, joins the firm.
1937Facilities are reorganized to accommodate production of special pressed components for all sectors of industry.
1944In October 80% of the factory is destroyed in a heavy air raid. Rapid reconstruction sees production restart before the end of the war.
1948Company name and legal form changes to Blech- u. Metallwarenfabrik Linnemann-Schnetzer KG.
1950First air reservoirs for the commercial vehicle industry are produced.
1960-68Series production of air reservoirs to DIN standard 74281, expansion of the special vessels business.
1975Air reservoirs production company ELES-France s.a.r.l. founded in Saint-Avold, France.
1990Air reservoirs production company Linnemann-Schnetzer Metalomecânica, Lda. set up in Viana do Castelo, Portugal.
1991-92Acquisition of Flaschengas-Gerätewerk GmbH in Elterlein in the Erzgebirge in Saxony, Germany. The company produces welded steel cylinders for liquid gas. Set-up of an air reservoirs manufacturing facility.
1992The Linnemann-Schnetzer Group is born; Linnemann-Schnetzer (Holding) formed as the mother company over the four production companies:
Linnemann-Schnetzer GmbH & Co., Ahlen, Germany
Elesfrance S.A., St.-Avold, France (becomes a public limited company at this point)
Linnemann-Schnetzer Metalomecânica, Lda., Viana do Castelo, Portugal
Flaschengas-Gerätewerk GmbH, Elterlein, Germany
1999Linnemann-Schnetzer Hungary Kft. established as a production company for aluminium air reservoirs.
2001To separate the air reservoir vessel and gas cylinder business an additional subsidiary focusing on air reservoirs manufacture, Linnemann-Schnetzer Sachsen GmbH, is established at the Elterlein facility.
2002Closure of Linnemann-Schnetzer Metalomecânica, Lda. site in Portugal and sale of the gas cylinder business of the Flaschengas-Gerätewerk GmbH.
2003Establishment of a steel air reservoir manufacturing facility at Linnemann-Schnetzer Hungary Kft in Hódmezövásárhely, Hungary.
2004Acquisition of Linnemann-Schnetzer by the Frauenthal Group.
Integration of the Linnemann-Schnetzer Group into the Automotive Components Division of the Frauenthal Group.
2007Closure of Linnemann-Schnetzer Hungary
